BEERTENDER - PART TIME - TORRANCE and ANAHEIM
Job description
Monkish Brewing Co. is looking to hire a Beertender for a part-time position in either our Torrance or Anaheim locations. We are a fast-paced, high-volume brewery and tasting room where customers can purchase drinks, bottles, growlers and assorted merchandise. We are looking for bright staff with knowledge and passion for craft beer, but also capable of providing the friendly, comfortable and knowledgeable customer experience we are known for.
As a Beertender for Monkish, you are responsible for a friendly customer interaction, facilitating transactions through our POS, pouring beer, filling growlers, changing kegs, stocking merchandise and glassware, as well as setup and cleanup responsibilities. As a member of the front of house team, you will help in providing a customer experience that meets or exceeds expectations at every opportunity. We are a tasting room that is well known for our exceptional hospitality and we are looking for people who are excited to be a part of it.
The ideal Beertender candidate would display the following characteristics:
Knowledge of Monkish and craft beer trends
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
You are genuine, warm and caring
Ability and desire to work as a team player
An ability to lead in situations when necessary
Attention to detail and cleanliness
Problem solving skills
Ability to multi-task
A strong passion to succeed and the willingness to learn and be coached by others.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 21 years old
At least 1 year experience working in a fast-paced service industry job (barista, server, etc.)
Flexible schedule with full availability on weekends
Be able to stand for long periods of time and to lift up to 50lbs
Cicerone Beer Server Certification or willingness to obtain
Serve Safe certified and LEAD trained or willingness to obtain
High School diploma or equivalent
About the Beertender position:
Competitive pay: $17+ hour + tips
Part-time hours (Average 20hrs per week)
